Dr. Hartnett (Dr. Liz) grew up in Kingston and obtained her undergraduate degree in Environmental Biology at Queen’s University. She then moved to Toronto, completed a Masters degree, and began a career in environmental policy. Wanting to do more hands-on work with animals, she spent her Sundays volunteering at a local wildlife rehabilitation centre and soon rediscovered her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Hartnett followed her heart to veterinary school and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018. She gained valuable medical and surgical experience in the Greater Toronto Area before moving back home to Kingston and joining our team in November 2020.
Dr. Hartnett enjoys trail running, cross-country skiing and camping in her free time. She shares her home with two cuddly cats, Ziggy Stardust and Rainbow, and is the proud “aunt” of a rescue greyhound named Rufus. She can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members!
